Come enjoy a Family Fun, History, Art, Culture, Dining, and Shopping Weekend in Historic Old Towne Petersburg. 
Nostalgiafest 2008 kicks off at 5pm on Friday evening, October 3rd, with the NostalgiaFest 10K Race - 4kRun/Walk. Musical entertainment begins at 5pm on Friday and continues throughout the entire weekend. Over twenty bands will keep the music flowing until 5pm Sunday afternoon (bands include The Drifters, The Embers, The Rotations, Monkey Fist, Redneck Pool Party, Dynamo Hum, Rockfish, The Unnaturals, Knee Deep Funk and more).  View the music schedule.
While you are enjoying the music, you’ll have the opportunity to browse and shop among the wide range of crafters, artists and food vendors who fill the streets of Old Towne.
Kids will love the Free Kids Zone (clowns, games, magicians, rides, balloons, petting zoo, prizes, etc.).
Enjoy the Historic Walking Tours and oogle Classic and Specialty Vehicles.
As Petersburg celebrates Nostalgiafest 2008, immerse yourself in the excitement of a City undergoing phenomenal revitalization. Explore the many unique art galleries, antique and specialty shops as well as the restaurants, bistros and coffee houses that dot the historic area. The entire area is joining in the celebration!

NOSTALGIAFEST RUN - new this year!  10 K Race or 4 K Run/Walk.  Race starts at 5:00 P.M. Registration and packet pick-up starts at 3:30 P.M. Pre-registered entrants are responsible for packet pick-up on race day.  Teams must be pre-registered, no new teams taken on race day.

9:30 a.m. - aspecial church service will be held at Blandford Church, built in 1735
The Rev. Doctor Alexis Fathbruckner of the Washington Street United Methodist Church will be preaching.  Light refreshments and tours of the church and cemetery will follow the service.  This event is open to the public and is free of charge.  Contact:  Martha Atkinson (804) 733-2396 for more info.
